Let's Take The Country Back

Yesterday the House of Representatives voted unanimously to hold US Attorney General Eric Holder in “contempt of congress” for not providing requested documents related to the Fast and Furious “Gun Walking” scandal by a vote of 255 – 67 with 17 democrats voting yea, in a pair of criminal and civil charges.

But, does this make any difference?  In the rule of law, yes, but in Washington DC, no!  The criminal contempt charge has been referred to DC US Attorney Ronald Machem, who actually works for and reports to Holder.  Not that I’m jaded or anything, but I seriously doubt the underling will bring charges against the boss…after all, it’s not like a union employee thug going after a big bad CEO of a mega-corp!  The civil case allows the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform to file a lawsuit asking the courts to examine the Justice Department’s failure to provide subpoenaed documents and the validity of Obama’s use of executive privilege.

And, exactly who’s court is that?
